Spencer was a dress I designed to wear to my friends wedding back in June - so I decided to name it after his new wife, Ariana Spencer! He even helped me whip up this designs character description so here she is:
Spencer is your most versatile friend - the best of both worlds. She’s sleek but strong, tough but sweet, low maintenance but loves a chance to get dressed up - a woman you want by your side forever!
The double brim of the skirt is worked around an elastic band, cut to your measurements so it fits your waist perfectly. The skirt is worked from the top down so length is easily customizable to your wants & needs. You can even opt to make it a straight skirt, rather than the high-low like my & my testers samples.
The top is also worked from the top down, so if crop tops aren’t your thing you can absolutely make it longer! Another bonus of them being separates - you can mix & match your sizes! So, if your bust & hip measurements don’t land in the same Craft Yarn Council size then you still get the best fit possible just by choosing different sizes!
My testers have showcased how this pattern works on different bodies, with different fibres & colours! Check out their different versions and exactly what yarn & how much they used and where to follow along with their crochet journey.
